What is the pet acceptance policy of Hawaiian Airlines?

You can bring your pet with you in accordance with the airport airline's pet policy.  They can travel in the cabin with you in their pet carrier or as checked baggage. Please note that your pet must have a comfortable carrier and it must be approved by Hawaiian Airlines.

Pets are not permitted as carry-on baggage on international flights by this airline. You should also check the pet policy rules for the destination you're flying to.

Which animals are Allowed in checked or cabin baggage?

This airline allows only domestic dogs or cats as pets. Along with this, it accepts them as checked baggage. Apart from these, if you are thinking of carrying any other pet then permission will not be given.

Conditions For Carry-on Pets

• Hawaiian Airlines allows one container Sherpa bag for a pet.
• In addition, only one adult dog or cat can be taken.
• 2 puppies or 2 kittens must be at least 8 weeks old or not more than 6 months old to be taken into the kennel.
• Pets must remain in the container, which should be placed under the seat in front of you.

• Pets must carry a maximum weight of 25 lbs / 11 kg. The total length of the carrier should not exceed 16 inches / 40 cm.

• The Kennel Series 300 has Maximum Dimensions of 36″ x 25″ x 27″ and a Maximum Total Weight of 70 lbs.

Route restrictions:

• If you're looking for Hawaiian Airlines flights to/from Austin, Boston, New York, or Orlando, there is no pet allowed here.
• Additionally, there is no pet allowance for San Jose, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Phoenix from April 15 to October 15.
• Some Neighbor Island flights where you can fly with your stomach include flights from Hawaii to North America and flights from North America to Hawaii.
• Also, note that all pets arriving in Honolulu (HNL) will be taken to the Animal Quarantine Holding Station at Honolulu Airport. After that, you can take it anywhere.

U.S. Military Personnel or a Dependent Traveling

If you are an active-duty US military personnel or official, you may travel with a stomach on certain orders.

• You must have a current military ID and an official travel order at check-in.
• Dogs and cats are accepted as baggage only for Honolulu (HNL) and Japan.
•   Whenever you go to book, book after giving at least 48 hours' notice.
• It does not accept any dog or cat under the age of eight (8) weeks.
• The health certificate must be due within 10 days of arrival in Japan and within 14 days of arrival in Honolulu.
